established by the Standards Act No. 3 of 1975, which was repealed and replaced by the Standards Act No. 2 of 2009. It is a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Bureau is looking for suitably, qualified, competent and committed Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies:

Marketing Officer II (2 Posts)
Qualifications and Experience
Holders of Bachelor degree in Commerce or Business Administration majoring in
Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities
§§ Reports to the Head of Section.
§§ Assists in evaluating marketing research and development requirements of
the Bureau
§§ Assists in undertaking marketing research to provide information/statistics
required for marketing planning and management

Responsibilities

This involves but will not be limited to:

Preparation for sales through distribution of SHS o Post processing of sold SHS through database

•    Contribute to monitoring and evaluation framework, reports and project outputs
Required qualifications:
•    Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Economics, Business or Development Studies
•    Atleast 3-5 years of experience working on agriculture and agribusiness/ private sector development projects
•    A minimum of 2 years’ experience using the M4P/market development approach
•    Agricultural Value Chain development experience 
•    An understanding of Agricultural extension approaches for market development
•    Ability to communicate at all levels of the value chain from small farmers to executive level discussions with key decision makers in the private and public sectors
•    Excellent communication skills; and relationship management
•    Fluency in English (both written and oral) is essential; and fluency in local languages highly desirable

Duties/Responsibilities:

Qualifications and work experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years continuous practical work experience in senior sales/marketing position
  • Relevant work experience in industrial manufacturing such as steel industries' (metal roofing materials will be an added advantage .

POSITION: MARKETING OFFICER II (Two posts)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepares documentation for purchases of oil products for COPEC.
· Collects, summarizes and submits sales data for gas and oil for COPEC.
· Maintains records of oil and gas sales made by COPEC
· Summarizes sales data received from PSA joint venture operations.
· Prepares and or checks independently, the statements submitted by PSA
partners in accordance with Annex D of the PSA’s.
· Compiles indicative local oil prices for advice to the Ministry dealing with
petroleum and works closely with the regulatory agency.
· Follow-up and compiles sales and petroleum imports made by oil companies
for onward submission to the Ministry dealing with petroleum as may be
directed.
· Carries out any other related duties as may be assigned by superiors from time
to time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Marketing with 1st class or upper 2nd class from recognize institute.
A working experience in the related field will be an added advantage.

DESIRED COMPETENCES
· Computer skills is essential
· Excellent writing skills & Communication skills
· Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.

AGE LIMIT
Not more than 35 years

REMUNERATION:
According to TPDC Scheme of service in the salary scale of TPDC-PS 1

Qualification and Personal Attributes

  • Provides regular information where necessary to assist with the compilation of reports for company.
  • Supplies sufficient information to the marketing manager to enable effective budgetary control of specific areas of activity.
  • Supplies weekly advance box office figures for analysis. 
  • Assists with the development and implementation of TBCL's audience development objectives.
  • Takes responsibility for specific campaigns as agreed with the Head of Operations i.e venue specific campaigns and marketing and promotional events.
  • Maintains liaison with external and internal suppliers, assisting in commissioning and delivery of marketing material.
  • Provides accurate and creative copy writing and proof reading skills as directed by the Head of Operations and working to pre-agreed deadlines.
  • Ensures that all printed promotional material is distributed effectively throughout TBCL departments and to the company board to include posters and leaflets.
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by Head of Operations, ICT and BCM
